Cederberg 2025 -The Lone Leopard
The aim with this vintage was to capture the delicate bright fruit, exotic aromatics & “wild” savoury character presented in the wine at an early stage – definitely a wine to keep for the medium term prior to drinking.
Tasting Notes: Garnet pomegranate coloured ethereal hued wine exploding with tart cranberry, savoury meaty-ness combines with red cherry, dried cranberry, pomegranate, bright spice ‘n rosehip/rose petal with gentle tug of tannins & generous Grenache glycerol edge with acid lift creating a mouth whetting wine
Food Pairing: Serve lightly chilled enjoy with rustic country dishes – rustic poultry dishes, slow roast pork belly ‘n root vegetables, waterblommetjiebredie, grilled T-bones on the braai with fresh greens or hearty lasagne; alternatively a smorgasbord of Sushi or simply a selection of fine fromage and charcuterie. Best decanted & enjoyed lightly chilled in warmer climes. An ideal wine to cellar for the medium to long term, if you are to revel in this varieties earty tones.
