This wonderful Portuguese varietal – also known as Alvarinho is known for its light and exotic flavours. A thick skinned grape offering intense aromas. Often compared to Viognier or Riesling, it has the same richness, apricots and white peaches but has a much lighter palate with bursts of fresh acidity and salinity. Trellised vines planted on well drained clay soil. The juice was left on the skins for 24 hours at 7 °C, then fermented in stainless steel tanks
Tasting Notes: When young, the wine reveals a refreshing salinity. Rich layers of apricots, white peaches, pears and candied orange with a lengthy crisp palate.
