The Landscape Series is a range of six wines that showcase our finest vineyard sites, together with some special old vine treasures, and aims to give an honest representation of the elements that make them unique.
The 2022 vintage benefited from ideal growing conditions, allowing the Cabernet Franc to develop its characteristic complexity and structure. The fruit comes from carefully selected vineyard blocks on the estate. All fruit was destemmed and fermented naturally. Daily pump-overs until fermentation stopped. Aged in barrel (30% new) for 14 months.
Tasting Notes: Plush red and black fruits with coffee, subtle pea-shoot herbaceousness and an alluring, lightly peaty smokiness make this a complex and classically Loire-style expression. With fine and finessed tannins delivering a rounded mouthfeel, the wine's full-fruited intensity and structure make for a balanced and poised vintage.
