The Landscape Series is a range of six wines that showcase our finest vineyard sites, together with some special old vine treasures, and aims to give an honest representation of the elements that make them unique.
This is a deep and complex wine that perfectly captures the essence of the South African terroir. With a deep ruby red colour in the glass, this wine offers a bouquet of ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, and subtle spice aromas. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with a delicate balance of tannins and acidity. The flavours are intense with notes of blackberry, cassis, and black pepper, with a long and rounded finish that leaves a hint of sweet oak. This Syrah is crafted using traditional methods and aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, adding depth and complexity to an already outstanding wine. Enjoy now or cellar for years to come.
Tasting Notes: A beautiful, perfumed nose with Parma Violets, fynbos, black fruits and spice. Pure fruit flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry. Herbal notes, especially thyme. Has good acidity and structure. White pepper on the long finish. A Very elegant wine
Own fruit. Black fruit, lily olive, cracked black pepper and some flinty reduction on the nose while the palate has great fruit density, bright acidity and grippy tannins. This possesses power but also balance – striking fruit purity, the finish wonderfully long and dry. Again, much better judged than 2019. CE’s rating: 95/100.
