Art de Vivre Rosé is Gérard Bertrand's tribute to the Mediterranean, its unspoiled landscape and the artists who have celebrated it for two thousand years. Even the bottle tells the story. Made to look like natural clay, it recalls the amphorae in which the first winemakers of the region carried and stored their wine.
Inside is a pale, bright AOP Languedoc rosé blended from Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, three grapes at the heart of southern French winemaking. The fruit is picked at night, when the vineyard is cool, to protect freshness and delicate aromatics. The result is a rosé that is generous without being heavy, with red berry fruit, a floral lift and a clean, citrus-tinged finish.
It is an easy choice for long lunches, sundowners on the terrace and anyone who wants a rosé with a real sense of place and occasion. - Perfect for summer!
Tasting Notes: In the glass, Art de Vivre Rosé is a pale, shining pink. The nose opens with small red fruits, strawberry and blackcurrant, lifted by rose petal and a zesty note of grapefruit, with a clean, mineral edge underneath. The palate is fresh and juicy, with ripe red berry fruit and a hint of plum, a softly rounded texture and a lively, mouth-watering finish. Balance is the signature here. The fruit is generous but never heavy, and the freshness keeps everything bright and persistent through to the last sip. Serve well chilled.
Food Pairing: Serve as an aperitif, or with light starters of vegetables and fish. Its Mediterranean roots make it a natural partner for Mediterranean cooking: a salade niçoise, grilled prawns, calamari or linefish, roasted and grilled vegetables, and fresh goat's cheese. It also works beautifully with marinated white meats off the braai, such as lemon and herb chicken, and with long, relaxed lunches in the sun.
