A highly concentrated, fresh single-varietal white wine frrom Piekenierskloof. Sourced from old vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region, known for producing grapes with excellent concentration, purity, and length.
Critics highly praise the 2025 release, noting it rivals the legendary 2021 vintage but with even more precision and pleasure.
Tasting Notes: Sourced entirely from Piekenierskloof, this Grenache Blanc is a beautifully poised expression of concentration and purity. Initially restrained, it gradually opens to reveal delicate aromas of elderflower, honeysuckle, fresh green pineapple, greengage, and ripe white stone fruit, complemented by subtle notes of citrus blossom and wet stone. The nose is refined and layered, offering both floral elegance and vibrant fruit intensity.
The palate is broad and textured yet remarkably focused, with flavours of preserved peach, pear, orange peel, passion fruit, guava roll, and a gentle touch of honey. Bright acidity and a distinctive chalky minerality lead to a crisp, bone-dry finish with exceptional length and precision. Reminiscent of the outstanding 2021 vintage, this is a concentrated, elegant Grenache Blanc that balances richness with freshness effortlessly.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with seared tuna, Asian spices, cold beef fillet salad, roast chicken or pork loin, chicken casserole or a relaxed cheese platter. A risotto with lemon zest, peas, and parmesan, or pasta with a light cream sauce, complements the wine's mouthfeel.
