Bx Wine launches the Raats EDEN and VLAG wines over a steak dinner themed evening around South Africa's two great Cape specialities, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Seven wines, two grapes, one producer, and food built to match. Few events let you taste both of Raats Estate wines and EDEN/VLAG Wines in one evening. The event will be hosted by the wine maker – Gavin Bruwer

Eden Cabernet Franc comes from a very small block planted at 8,000 vines per hectare, so production is tiny and a pour is a rare thing. 

Eden Chenin Blanc comes from a 0.6 hectare block, matured in a concrete egg and new oak, with a long, pithy finish. It is fresh, taut and precise, and shows how serious Chenin can be 

Vlag Cabernet Franc blends two Vlaeberg blocks planted in 2002 and 2008 to show the granite and minerality of the Polkadraai Hills. It is the more approachable red, and the one you will want to take home by the case.
